INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Saturday is race day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis kicks off.

Because of a different track configuration for the Grand Prix of Indianapolis, infield parking is limited. Click here for the map to find out where to park.

Gates opened for the Grand Prix at 7 a.m. and remain open until 6 p.m. Pre-race ceremonies begin at 3:30 p.m. and the race action starts at 3:50 p.m. Tickets start at $25.

Drivers will be headed the opposite way than the Indianapolis 500, and spectators will have mounds around the track to get a closer look at the action. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
