UPDATE 9:45 P.M.: A confirmed tornado was located near Collegeville, Ind., in northwest Indiana, Sunday night.

UPDATE 7:55 P.M.: Thunderstorm warning for Hendricks, Morgan, Marion (and downtown Indianapolis) until 8:30 p.m. Quarter size hail and 60 mph wind are threats.

UPDATE 6:35 P.M.: Thunderstorm warnings continue with large hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph in eastern and southwestern counties in Indiana.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Rush County until 7:15 p.m. Police dispatchers there reported 1/2 inch sized hail and strong winds. Police said there was hail damage and flooding all over the county. One dispatcher said there was so much hail on the ground, that it looked like it had been snowing.

Dispatchers in the county said the town of Glenwood was flooded. Police said around 6:30 p.m. that 800 North was closed at 400 West. There’s a flash flood warning for Rush County Sunday evening.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M.: There’s a severe thunderstorm warning for counties east of Indianapolis until 6 p.m. Quarter size hail and 60 mph winds are threats.

Storms moving through Central Indiana on Mother’s Day have the potential to get severe.

Most of the state is under a slight risk of severe thunderstorms for Sunday. Damaging wind and large hail are the biggest threats, though there is a small chance of an isolated tornadoes.
