JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A mother was arrested after police say she was driving drunk with her 4-week-old infant in the backseat.

According to Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox, multiple people called police and said Jessica Baldwin, 28, of Martinsville, was weaving in and out of traffic on State Road 37 Friday night. Witnesses told police Baldwin hit another vehicle near State Road 37 and Stones Crossing Road.

Officers found Baldwin inside of a gas station.

Police said Baldwin failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08. She was arrested at the scene.

Cox said officers found Baldwin’s infant in the car and gave the baby to Baldwin’s mother.

Baldwin was being held in the Johnson County Jail on a $3,000 bond, as of Friday night. Cox said formal charges have not yet been filed.
