INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An 18-month-old girl had to be hospitalized after swallowing prescription medicine, according to police.

The incident happened at a home in the 5800 block of Grassy Bank Drive, near E. Edgewood Avenue and 5 Points Road, on the city’s south side.

Police said the pills were anti-depressants that belonged to her 23-year-old father. Officers said they don’t know how many she took, but she had a reaction to them and was rushed to Riley Hospital for Children.

Police said the girl is in stable condition now. Child Protective Services, along with the IMPD, are investigating this case.
