BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A Megabus out of Atlanta bound for Indianapolis broke down early Tuesday in southern Bartholomew County. Around 5:15 a.m. the bus carrying 67 passengers broke down just north of the 61 mile marker of northbound I-65.

There were reports of passengers getting unruly when they were not allowed to get off the bus. Sheriff’s Deputies say the passengers were kept on the bus for safety reasons.

A bus mechanic was dispatched from Atlanta and officers worked to shuttle the passengers to Columbus, Indiana via a city transit bus.
