Driver crashes in Indy 500 practice

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Driver Jack Hawksworth crashed during practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Wednesday, IMS officials said.

The rookie’s crash was the first incident during Indy 500 practice this May. He was being checked at the hospital.

Hawksworth spun out and hit the wall in turn 3.
