INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested a man Wednesday in connection to the deadly shooting on the city’s east side Friday night.

Police said Tyree Brodley, 20, was formally charged with one count of murder. IMPD homicide detectives said he shot and killed Terrance Holmes, 23, in the 3900 block of East New York Street on Friday.

According to police, Brodley is being held at Eskenazi Hleath while he recovers from a gunshot wound. IMPD officers said Dairon Kennedy, 21, and Ronald Kennedy, 23, were also shot during the incident.

Detectives believe the shooting was not random and stemmed from an on-going dispute between the involved parties.

The mug shot of Brodley is from an unrelated arrest in 2013.
