EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Southwestern Indiana authorities say a 28-year-old man used a pocket knife to stab his uncle to death as the man was resting in a recliner.

The Evansville Courier & Press reports Antonio D. Handley faces preliminary murder and robbery charges in the killing of 49-year-old Darryl Foster. He remained jailed Thursday, pending an initial court appearance.

A probable cause affidavit released Thursday says investigators believe Handley stabbed Foster multiple times in the neck with a pocket knife. Relative found Foster’s body Wednesday in a recliner in his Evansville apartment.

The affidavit says Handley told police he “poked” Foster several times as his uncle was sitting in the recliner and kept attacking him “till he knew he was done.”

The affidavit says Handley told officers Foster owed him money.
