FISHERS, Ind (WISH) – The town council of Fishers approved a temporary move for the fire station Monday night.

The council voted to move three firefighters and a fire engine into a private home on 116th Street while the station is being renovated.

The council says the town will save about $36,000 by moving fire operations into a home, as opposed to renting trailers during construction.

The home rental will cost about $14,000.

The million dollar renovation of the station on Brooks School Road should take about six months. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
