TIPPECANOE COUNTY (WISH) – A Tippecanoe County dog breeder will go before county officials again to defend his dog breeding business.

Randy Sanders’ kennel was not compliant with local ordinances. The barn where 28 dogs were kept was not properly ventilated or temperature controlled. The barn was also to close to the road.

Sanders says he wants an exception for his business and is confident he will get it.

“It will get granted. I’m positive it will be granted. There’s no reason for it not to,” said Sanders.

However, board members disagree. They say the barn is a public health hazard and violated local codes. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
