INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana Pacers forward Paul George has been diagnosed with a concussion after taking a knee to the back of his head Tuesday in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat.

According to the NBA, the Pacers followed protocol for a possible concussion, but George said he had none of the symptoms of a concussion. George later told medical personnel after the game that he blacked out when he suffered the hit. As a result, he was diagnosed with a concussion.

It’s unclear whether George will play in Game 3 in Miami on Saturday night. He must follow the NBA’s concussion protocol before given the OK to play again. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
