Man seriously injured in Craigslist deal shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – IMPD officers are searching for a man who apparently shot another man who responded to his Craigslist post on Friday morning.

The incident happened around 11:15 a.m. Friday in the 3700 block of N. Linwood Avenue.

Detectives said the victim was trying to sell a cell phone to the suspect in a previously arranged Craigslist deal. The victim arrived at the location but was then forced back inside of his car at gunpoint by the suspect.

IMPD officers said a struggle ensued. The suspect shot the victim three times then fled northbound on Linwood. Neighbors told police they saw a Dodge Charger or Challenger speeding away from the area.

The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital in serious condition, according to police.
