GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) — A report of a runaway teen led police to an underage drinking party in Greenwood early Monday morning.

A mother called officers after learning her daughter had snuck out of the house around 2:45 a.m. The mother tracked her daughter’s cell phone to a home near County Line and State Road 135.

The woman told police she’d found her daughter there before after she’d run away.

When an officer arrived, he said it sounded like there was a party going on inside, so he called for back-up.

When police busted the home, they say some of the teens tried to run out the back door but officers caught them.

Police ended up finding the runaway girl inside along with another juvenile and five adults, though no one was 21 years old.
