Senator aims to tackle crime in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — U.S Senator Joe Donnelly stood in the Christamore House in Haughville to take questions and concerns about crime on Tuesday.

“Every single Hoosier has a right to sit in their front yard and sit in a chair to live in peace,” said Donnelly.

During a town hall meeting, residents expressed their concerns about crime in the city and in turn they suggested possible solutions.

The Indiana Democrat will take that input to determine if there is some federal assistance he can use to provide concrete solutions.

Residents in the Haughville area welcomed Donnelly’s town hall meetings.
