French Lick Resort cooks up a Father’s Day meal

Chef Paul Owens from French Lick Resort has ideas on how to feed your dad on Father’s Day.

Father’s Day Ginger and Sesame Pork Burgers with Grilled Pineapple

1 ½ tablespoons soy sauce
1 green onion, chopped
1 clove of garlic, minced
2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
½ teaspoon sesame oil
1 pound fresh ground pork
4 fresh pineapple rings

Top with favorite cheese slice if desired.

4 brioche buns

Directions
1. Preheat French Plate (grill Plate) to medium high temperature
2. Combine soy sauce, green onion, garlic, ginger, and ½ teaspoon sesame oil in a small bowl. Place pork in a medium bowl. Add the sauce mixture to the pork and gently combine without over mixing. Form into 4 patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
3. Oil the grill rack, Grill the burgers, turning once, about 4 to 5 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reads 155° During the last 3 minutes of cooking, place the fresh pineapple rings on the French plate and cook, turning once, until dark grill marks appear.
