Police seek suspect in Carmel thefts

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — Police in Carmel released surveillance pictures of a theft that happened earlier this month in hopes of finding the person responsible.

The theft happened on May 8. Police say a man committed two thefts in the 1300 block of East 96th Street. As the result of one of those thefts, police say the suspect used the victim’s credit card at a Thornton’s gas station, in the 4000 block of East 82nd Street.

Police say the suspect stole a white 16 GB Apple iPad 2 in the second theft.

Anyone with information about the theft or suspect is asked to call the Carmel Police Department Investigations Division at 571-2511 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana 317-262-8477 (TIPS).
