Police searching for driver after woman critically injured in hit-and-run

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers are searching for a driver after a woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash Thursday night.

Police said the crash happened around 8:20 p.m. at 3373 Ashley Lane, near 34th Street and Moller Road, on the northwest side of Indianapolis. She was apparently hit by an SUV in the Tera Townhomes apartment complex parking lot.

The victim was taken to Eskenazi Health in critical condition, according to the IMPD.

Investigators want to speak with any potential witnesses to gather more information on the incident.

As of Thursday night, police said suspect and vehicle information was not available.
