INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives have arrested a second man in connection to a deadly north side home invasion earlier this month.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office formally charged Keri Brewer, 23, of Indianapolis, with murder and robbery on Thursday.

Brewer is accused of shooting and killing Patrick Martin, 24, of Indianapolis, at a home in the 4000 block of Boulevard Place on May 19.

Mark A. Tyson, 31, was arrested in Fort Wayne on May 23. Police believe Brewer and Tyson shot Martin over a drug robbery.

Detectives said the “quick and proficient” police work of the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force led to the two arrests.

Brewer was in the Marion County Jail as of Friday evening.
