Shelby Co. police investigate series of daytime burglaries

SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — Police in Shelby County are investigating a series of burglaries that all happened during the day.

Officers says the burglaries happened in the southwestern park of the county, in areas including Flat Rock, Marietta, Mt. Auburn, Lewis Creek and other areas west of State Road 9 and east of I-65.

Police say the burglaries have been concentrated to those areas, but all residents are encouraged to lock windows and doors and be alert, 24-Hour News 8’s news partners at the Shelbyville News report.

According to police, those responsible in the burglaries have stolen guns and jewelry.
