Third arrest made in Terre Haute homicide

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – The Terre Haute Police Department made a third arrest on Saturday in connection to a homicide that happened on 5th and Swan Streets earlier this week.

On Wednesday night, the body of Steven Vicars-Goings was found at the intersection. Police said an argument happened while he was trying to sell drugs to people in a pick up truck. The truck began to move forward with Vicars -Goings still attached to the truck.

According to police, the victim was hit several times by one of the people inside the vehicle. He dropped to the side of the truck and subsequently was run over.

Joston L. Pentzer, 22, was located in Montezuma and was brought back to Terre Haute for questioning on Saturday. He was later arrested for murder and an unrelated warrant.

On Friday, Terre Haute Police arrested 22-year-old Cody Morgan from Montezuma and 21-year- old Ashley Lynch from Terre Haute. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
