Thousands walk to support autism awareness

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Thousands of people are walking in support of autism research and awareness at White River State Park.

The Walk Now for Autism Speaks fundraising at Celebration Plaza features a 1.5 mile walk.

Registration starts at 9 Saturday morning. Opening ceremonies beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the walk starting at 11 a.m.

Saturday’s event is the signature fundraiser for Autism Speaks. 100 cities will participate to support autism research and awareness. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
