Man shot while walking down street

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police in Indianapolis are investigating a shooting on the city’s east side early Monday morning.

Around 4:20 am police got a report of a man found on the ground in the 3200 block of North Riley Avenue. That scene is just a couple blocks west of 32nd Street and Emerson Avenue.

According to investigators, the 21-year-old male was walking down the street when a car pulled up along side him and an occupant of the car fired three shots.

The victim was struck in the thigh and was taken by ambulance to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital where he was reported to be in good condition. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
