Police looking for answers after a hit and run fatal

FRUITDALE, Ind. (WISH) – Police are searching for information after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle during the late evening hours on Sunday.

The incident happened on State Road 135 North near Hurdle Road sometime between 12:20 and 2:20 a.m.

According to 24-Hour News 8’s partner at the Brown County Democrat,36-year-old Chad Demuth was believed to be walking away from Bill Monroe Music Park after attending the John Hartford Memorial Festival.

The driver who hit Demuth did not stop.
