Boy, 13, injured in accidental shooting in Bluffton

BLUFFTON, Ind. (WANE) – A 13-year-old boy in Bluffton was shot in the head just before noon on Tuesday.

According to the Bluffton Police Department, the boy was with a group of minors on South Beth Avenue in Bluffton. One of the minors had a gun that accidentally went off, hitting the 13-year-old in the head.

The boy’s condition was not available but police said he was speaking to medics. He was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital.

Investigators are speaking to the other three minors who were there during the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation.
