Three homes burglarized in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY (WISH) – Police in Johnson County are investigating three home burglaries that might be connected.

The calls came in on Monday and Tuesday evening.

The first was at home on County Road 200 East. The caller saw the door was open, and found a shotgun had been stolen.

The second home was on State Road 135 in Trafalgar, those homeowners saw their door had been kicked in. They said they were missing about $1,500 in jewelry.

The third home hit was on County Road 300 South. The victim said his back door was also kicked in, and the thieves took a TV, an air rifle, a pistol and a PlayStation Two.

Witnesses told police they saw a suspicious white or gray truck in the area, possibly a Ford Ranger with a missing tailgate.

Police tracked down the license plate, but it was expired.
