COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) — A suspected heroin dealer transporting the drug from Indianapolis to the Columbus area was taken down by an undercover drug deal, Columbus Police Department officials said.

Narcotics detectives bought $2,000 worth of heroin from 21-year-old Timothy Ford Jr. of Indianapolis, police officials said. It was about 20 grams of the drug. Police believe Ford may be responsible for other heroin that’s ended up in Columbus recently.

Ford was arrested on a preliminary charge of dealing heroin, a Class A felony.
