National Donut Day


Mel McMahon, from the Salvation Army – Indiana Division celebrates National Donut Day by explaining the history of the Donut Girls. and  Evelyn Higgins and Beverly Collignon dressed in costume share details about how and why the first donuts where made. National Doughnut Day is on the first Friday of June each year, succeeding the Doughnut Day event created by The Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the men and women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
