Police identify man found shot, killed in car

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)  – Police have identified the man who was shot and killed on the city’s north east side Friday night.

Louis Myers, 48, died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the coroner. His death was ruled a homicide.

The shooting happened in the 4000 block of Meadows Drive, near the intersection of Adams Street, around 8 p.m.

Police said they received a tip and when they arrived at the scene, they found Myers shot to death in a car. The car was parked in an empty lot.

EMS crews pronounced Myers dead at the scene.

Police have not released any information on possible suspects.
