INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Dozens of vintage race cars took laps around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Saturday morning.
More than 500 of the world’s most historic race cars are competing in the first Sportscar Vintage Racing Association’s Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational at the IMS.
Vintage race-care enthusiast come from around the country to see these special cars.
“This event is special because we’ve been at another big track, Coater in Texas, but the race fans here are amazing. The people coming out to see us, just for me is a thrill, and I think for all of us, it’s a thrill,” Nick Incantalupo, a driver, said.
The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association is one of the oldest and largest of the vintage racing organizations in the United States.
