IUPUI Campus alert given to protect students is now lifted

INDIANAPOLIS,(WISH)–A campus alert was sent out by IUPUI Officials late Friday evening following a robbery.

Officials say the robbery happened around 11pm on Riley Hospital Drive.

Investigators say the suspect approached the victim and appeared to be armed.

Immediately following the robbery, the suspect headed south along Riley Hospital Drive.

Police were on the scene within moments and the alert was sent out to notify students and personnel to be safe, watch their surroundings and keep doors locked.

Campus officials confirm there was no lockdown.

The alert was lifted at 1:15am Saturday morning.
