INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An Indianapolis Animal Care and Control spokeswoman said they removed 51 animals from two homes on Sunday. Several animals were found dead inside one of the homes.

IACC told 24-Hour News 8 that the animals were removed from two homes in the 900 block of West Stop 11 Road, on the city’s south side.

A variety of pets were taken from the homes.

The dead animals were not cats or dogs. IACC said the homeowners had pets in the “exotic realm.”

IACC said the investigation is ongoing, but did say it is a neglect investigation. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
