INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Circle City Indy Pride is in full swing. Day two of “event week” kicked off Sunday with a community picnic.

Organizers say it’s a way for people to mix and mingle and grow stronger, together as a community.

“It’s about being proud. It’s about loving one another. It’s about diversity and definitely celebrating this community that Indianapolis is happily showing off this week and celebrating with,” Annie Zoll said.

Following the picnic, there was the annual Bat n’ Rouge softball game.

All events proceeds support Indy Pride, a non-profit which supports the Indiana LGBT community with programs like HIV education.

The event week is full of entertainment leading up to the big day Saturday with the annual Pride Parade. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
