INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A Johnson County man has been sentenced for his role in a fraudulent investment operation.

Rudolf “Rudi” Pameijer was sentenced to 18 years and ordered to pay $1.8 million in restitution for a scheme that involved 24 investors in Johnson and Hendricks counties. Pameijer also stole over $1.5 million from the State of Colorado.

Pameijer told investors he was an expert financial adviser. He used a fake company called Plan America, LLC to sell contracts and securities that were not valid.

The investigation began after a complaint was filed with the Secretary of State’s office. Pameijer plead guilty to the charges in February.

Pameijer was sentenced to 18 years. Eight of the years were suspended. The other 10 years will be served in prison. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
