Skull found near downtown Indy identified

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the skull found on the city’s north east side Thursday.

According to police, the skull was found in the 2200 block of Columbia Avenue around 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

The skull was identified as Selese Goss, 45, of Indianapolis.

No cause or manner of death was released pending a toxicology and anthropology studies.

This is the same area where a worker at a nearby plant found the remains of Loy Ofsthun, 56, in a vacant lot on June 2nd. Ofsthun’s body was found in the 2000 block of North Columbia Avenue.

The investigation was ongoing as of Monday afternoon.
