Teenager shot in the thigh on city’s northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Metro Police say a teenager is recovering after being shot in the thigh.

The shooting happened shortly after 7 p.m., in the 8500 block of Montery Road. That’s near the Charles Warren Fairbanks elementary school on the city’s northeast side.

Police say the teen is 15 or 16-years-old. The teen is expected to recover.

Police have not identified any suspects as of Tuesday evening at 10 p.m.
