CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – Indiana State Police made an arrest Wednesday after an accident when discovering the driver was wanted on a warrant from Vigo County.

Officials responded just before 2:30 p.m. to a two-vehicle accident in front of a residence at 12500 North State Road 59.

Preliminary investigation showed a 2001 Ford Taurus driven by Kacie N. Robertson, 24 of Dana, was backing westbound from the residence onto SR 59 and backed into the path of another vehicle.

A 2007 Chrysler SUV driven by Alysia M. Chase, 22 of Brazil, struck the Robertson vehicle on the passenger side.

No injuries were reported, but Chase’s young daughter and son, who were in child restraint seats at the time of the crash, were examined by medical personnel from Trans Care EMS and released.

During the crash investigation, Robertson was found to be wanted on warrant from Vigo County for controlled substance violations.

Robertson was taken to the Vigo County Jail and cited for driving while suspended, no vehicle insurance and failure to yield the right of way. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
