Police arrest possible burglary suspect after pursuit

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office believes it has solved a string of burglaries.

The department sent officers into the neighborhoods that have been targeted and on Thursday, Major Bob Sexton spotted an SUV that he thought could be connected to several of the cases.

Officers from several agencies moved in and after a pursuit, they arrested the driver.

The driver was identified as John Lane Gibson, of Indianapolis. Police said they are not releasing his picture yet because the investigation is not complete.

However, officers did say they found stolen property in the SUV.
