INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Next month we could learn more about the details behind the ROC or Regional Operations Center. A July 10 hearing is set on the case of the city of Indianapolis suing itself over the building. It’s a fight I-Team 8 has followed for months.

The police command center closed due to safety concerns last September. The City – County Council wants a judge to force the city to turns over documents related to the $18 million lease. Councillor Joe Simpson is requesting the former Department of Public Safety Director who signed the lease, Frank Straub, come back to testify before a committee. Straub is currently Police Chief in Spokane, Washington.

I-Team 8 talked to Straub Friday who said he had no comment. DPS workers moved back into the ROC last month. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
