Noblesville mobile home fire injures two

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Two people were hurt Friday morning when their mobile home caught fire.

It started around 2:30 a.m. at a mobile home near State Road 32 and Cyntheanne Road.

Brian Lane with the Wayne Township Fire Department said a man and woman were inside the trailer. Neither has been identified yet. The woman was flown by medical helicopter and the man was taken by ambulance to Indianapolis hospitals.

A neighbor, Larry Wallace, told 24-Hour News 8 he was just getting home when he noticed the flames on the couple’s front porch. He ran in to help the two people out of the home before calling 911.

“I placed them in the bed of a truck,” Wallace said. “And she was just crying that it burned and she was hurting, and that she wanted someone to get here.”

The local fire department had to truck in water because there were no hydrants in the area.

Investigators were still working to determine the cause of the fire Friday morning.
