INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Thousands of people attended Indianapolis Zoo’s Zoobilation 2014, the largest black-tie fundraiser in Indiana, on Friday night.

The event featured food and drinks from 70 of Indiana’s finest restaurants, along with entertainment from some of the area’s top musical acts. This year’s Zoobilation was sold out.

St. Elmo’s won best decor and best appetizer, best entree went to Market Table, best dessert went to Stone Creek Dining Company and best drink went to Plat 99.

The zoo rolled out the orange carpet in honor of the new orangutan exhibit.

The money raised from Zoobilation helps the Indianapolis Zoo care for and feed the more than 2,000 animals and 16,000 plant specimens at the zoo. It also supports the zoo’s internationally significant conservation and research efforts.

Last year, the event raised more than $1.6 million.
