Four injured after Kokomo shooting

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) – Three men are still in the hospital, one in critical condition, after a Sunday morning shooting in Howard County.  Now the community, especially those close with the victims, is on edge as police continue to investigate the crime.

In all, four men were shot outside a bar called the ‘Ultimate Place 2-B’ but the Kokomo Police Department isn’t saying much about what happened.

“It kind of makes you worry to even go outside,” says a Kokomo mother who is scared to show her face.

She says the father of her kids was shot outside the bar on Father’s Day morning.

“I don’t think anybody thought of that, that he has two children,” she says.

Police said people were running from the business when they arrived at 5126 Clinton Drive around 3 a.m.

Anthony Heard, 39, of Kokomo was treated and released from a hospital from Community Howard Regional Hospital. Sieyumbe Arrington, 37, of Kokomo is undergoing surgery for his injuries there as well. Cristobal Guerroro, 31, of Marion is in critical condition at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne and Emmanuel Arrington, 33, of Kokomo is in stable condition there, but was shot in the pelvis and leg.

“His right leg is broken and he does have to have surgery to get screws for his broken bones,” says the woman.

It’s unclear if the men were involved in a shootout or if there was a single shooter. Police have not named any suspects or arrested anyone.

The woman said she’s glad she didn’t attend the RibFest events Saturday night, but does have a message for the person responsible for Arrington’s injuries.

“I hope you feel terrible about what you did. God doesn’t like ugly.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Kokomo police at 765-459-5101 or the hotline at 765-456-7017. Callers may also qualify for a cash reward by calling Central Indiana Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
