New information released after body found on west side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police released more information on Monday in the investigation of a body found on the west side of Indianapolis last week.

According to a release from IMPD, detectives found the body of 19-year-old Emeterio Islas partially buried on June 12 in the 3300 block of West Washington Street.

Police say Islas was shot multiple times. The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation.

Detectives urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers of Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS (8477). Callers may also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274637 (CRIMES).
