Police say juvenile crashed while fleeing officers

NORTH LIBERTY, Ind. (AP) — Police in northern Indiana say a juvenile driving a stolen truck crashed it while being chased by officers.

Police say the chase began in Marshall County and continued into St. Joseph County when the juvenile side-swiped another truck on Indiana 23 near the town of North Liberty about 3 a.m. Monday.

The truck rolled over once and ended up in a field along with highway about 10 miles southwest of South Bend. WNDU-TV and WSJV-TV report the juvenile didn’t have a driver’s license and was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the other truck wasn’t hurt.
