Semi fire closes Boone County ramp

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Just after 6 a.m. Tuesday, Boone County fire crews were called to the I-65 northbound ramp from State Road 39 to put out a semi fire.

According to police dispatchers, there were no injuries in the incident and the flames were knocked down quickly.

Flames from the semi could be seen from the interstate and the ramp to northbound I-65 remained closed as crews removed the semi.  The ramp re-opened to traffic just before 7 a.m. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
