NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay and his attorneys have waived an initial court appearance in Hamilton County.

Irsay is facing misdemeanor operating while intoxicated charges. The hearing scheduled for Thursday won’t happen as a result of Irsay waiving it.

Instead, a not guilty plea was entered on Irsay’s behalf. The court advised him not to break the law. Irsay also can’t leave the state without the court’s permission.

The next scheduled court appearance is July 28. A bench trial was scheduled for Aug. 28.
