NJ & Michigan wreck

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Metro Police say two people were hurt when their pickup truck crashed into the front of the Athenaeum Building early Thursday.

The accident happened around 1 a.m. on East Michigan Street near New Jersey Street.  Police say the pickup first crashed through some parking meters, went across the sidewalk and came to a stop when it crashed into the front of the downtown landmark.

The driver reportedly told police someone ran their truck off the road, however police say they did not find any evidence of a second vehicle being involved.

Medics to the male driver and a female passenger to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in serious condition.
