Police: 2 men break in with teen home alone

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A 14-year-old girl hid in a bedroom and called 911 Friday when two men forced their way into her home, police officials said.

It happened around 1 p.m. in the 1200 block of Buck Creek Road, which is near Cumberland. A Greenfield police officer who lives nearby responded to help, along with officers from the Cumberland Police Department and the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers were able to track down the two men nearby. Antonio Dejuan Johnson, 24, and Robert Richards, 25, were both arrested on preliminary burglary charges.

The 14-year-old was not injured.
