INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Officials at the Marion County Jail say two inmates accidentally released this week, are both back in custody.

Chester Irons and Ronald Johnson were both back in custody Friday afternoon.

Authorities revealed the mistake on Thursday.  Irons and Johnson were arrested two weeks ago.

Irons faces several charges including criminal confinement and battery. Johnson is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

Authorities blame the mistake on the transition to new criminal justice software.
