Hundreds fill the circle for Monumental Yoga

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – More than 1,000 people filled the circle in downtown Indianapolis Saturday morning for Monumental Yoga on the Circle.

The free event was sponsored by local yoga studios and corporations¬† Hundreds of yogis from all levels brought their mats on this year’s summer solstice.

This is the second year for Monumental Yoga, which is the city’s largest outdoor yoga event.

“I saw a picture of Times Square. They closed down Times Square a couple years ago, full of yogis, and I realized that we could do that here. So, through a series of different events, we were able to get it done,” Cassie Stockamp, president of Athenaeum Foundation, said.
