Police searching for man involved in fraud scheme

BATESVVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – Indiana State Police need help identifying a fraud suspect.

24 Hour News 8’s news partner at the Batesville Herald-Tribune reports in late May at the Friendship State Bank a suspect cashed fraudulent checks. Employees told police the male had entered five of the bank branches in three counties, including Ripley, Dearborn and Ohio cashing the fake checks for over $15,000.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photo should call ISP at 812-689-5000.
